Bill and Abbey
ReplyDeleteI attend JOF (for 20 years) and know your family though not intimately. My son Christopher knows Abbey from church (he is a freshman this year). I have been keeping track of things via your blog since Sharon Escochea sent the link in an email earlier this month. I have been praying for you both and for Becky. I am so sorry to hear that this long journey has come to a close in this manner. I know you would have loved to have her back home with you but apparently God wanted her home and He has the ultimate control. Knowing she is singing His praises without pain or sorrow while the angels rejoice brings comfort to your souls I am sure, but the pain still feels unbearable. We will continue to pray for you both. Bill and Abbey,
ReplyDeleteBecky gave you the greatest gift anyone can ever receive--and that is her love. You will always feel it. And you will forever feel her loving arms around you. The Lord has wrapped His loving arms around your beautiful wife and mother and healed her and given her eternal life. Our hearts break for you. Our prayers are with you.
Dear Bill & Abbey,
ReplyDeleteJoanne gave me such a beautiful picture, I wanted to pass it along. I was telling her how I was struggling with how this is in God's plan for your family. She said in the majestic music God is creating for His glory, this note, which may seem like a wrong note....a cymbal crash that doesn't belong, actually will fit into the score perfectly, when we hear the whole piece. That the beauty of the piece would not be the same without each of the notes being played at the right time.
Somehow this helps me believe that this is one of those moments where it is hard to believe it is true, but we walk in God's faithfulness. Our hearts are breaking for both of you!

Bill and Abbey,
ReplyDeleteWords can't begin to express how sorry I was to hear the news about Becky. You guys are constantly in my thoughts and prayers. At a time like this, we have no choice other than to cling to our faith. Bill - your words from your blog have touched me deeply and I admire your strength, courage, and deep faith... and Abbey - I know your Mom was so proud of such a beautiful, graceful daughter. I lost my father at 14 so I can sympathize with where you are... She will always hold a piece of your heart - and will always be right there when you close your eyes and think of her. Many hugs to you both. Holding you close in prayer.
Love,
Amy (Knight) Nelson
