Thinking...

Some days..just think and think about times past. Good stuff mostly...
The clothes are sometimes hard to look at, but sometimes they bring back a great moment.
Abbey and I cooked salmon...Becky loved salmon and she could get it just right. Abbey did a great job with it though...
The routine of school and work going OK, but I know Abbey does miss Mom asking her how school is going etc...good to have a routine I suppose..but sometimes ya just want to stop right where you are...solve a few world problems..then back to the routine. Actually, I guess we can do that anyway...
Also thinking about, in a few weeks Becky would have been two years removed from the stem cell transplant...two years..that's what we wanted, along with many other good health markers, that's what we were told would be a goal to strive for, when perhaps getting into another 'life lane' would be acknowledged. Becky would be distancing herself from the statistical or commonly known measure of the graft versus host disease return, two years. It is known that usually after two years, the stats are in your favor for GVH not rearing it's head..Well, as has been documented in this blog, GVH was tough in the end, but pneumonia the big bully. Just had to vent that...

Hope and pray all is well with you...Press on. Abbey and I give thanks for the health we have..we thank the Lord God for a wife and mother who was so beautiful, Godly and courageous..

Celebrate life,

Bill and Abbey...

  1. I just want to add that Becky certainly was all of those things...so beautiful, so Godly and SO courageous, just peacefully facing each day...her only anxiety was her concern for you and Abbey, never for herself....amazing! I think back to my last visit and she was so calm, and of course her caring sweet self! However, you and Abbey have been very courageous as well and you have weathered this tempest of life, with such a level of reflection and personal grace that it is a testimony to each of us. We will all walk in your shoes at some point, you have lead the processional with a strong testimony to God's grace.
