Abbey doing good in school...enjoying most of her classes..likes cheerleading! Her school spirit shows. She can learn a routine rather quickly...a cool thing.
Naturally, we do talk of Mom. We talk of the things she did, the things she said...the food she cooked. The things she would say or do. Yes, my sweet wife, Abbey's Mom is gone..and sometimes it still seems, like really? We do know she is doing just fine..just fine..We have this hope..
OK, a little secret, I talk to Becky. The grief books say this is actually quite normal..I believe it, cause I'm living it...doing it. Not an inordinate amount of time..but enough to soothe me...feels good to just talk small to big stuff in just short staccato-like sentences.. again, they say this is quite acceptable...
Another one of those firsts is here..My birthday. I am not one to broadcast by Bday, but felt OK to say so here at 1am... Becky was so birthday conscious. She loved giving multiple cards, and was always so gift thoughtful...
Abbey and I will celebrate..We will.

Belated birthday greetings, Bill. Glad to hear the Abbey is doing well in school. School will be starting on Tuesday. Looking forward to the new faces and challenges ahead. Think about you both every day. Coming up on 6 months for my loved one's passing, and I talked to her often; it's a good thing. My dad gets very teary thinking about all the things that are going on right now and wishes that she could be with us to experience and enjoy, but I know she is watching and still guiding. Love to you.
